Christian Neckermann – Global Director (New York)


  • Christian Neckermann has over 20 years consulting experience in the healthcare sector.
  • His clients range from global pharmaceutical manufacturers, including 4 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies, to biotech start-ups
  • His focus is on helping clients discover new revenue opportunities, develop strategies to pursue these, and align the organization to achieve faster, more profitable growth
  • His international background and experience have enabled Christian to manage multi-national projects – often working with global leaders to maximize product / portfolio performance across dozens of countries.
  • Selected projects include launch planning for late stage development projects, optimizing marketing strategies and resource allocation for in-market products, revitalizing mature products by finding new growth segments, and implementing business planning processes to align global organizations around a common strategy with local adaptation
  • His work contributed to growing a mature brand from $600mm to blockbuster status, achieving >10% annual growth in markets that had been flat, and increasing ROI of marketing budgets through marketing mix optimization
  • Prior to joining Informa, he founded and managed his own consulting company for 10 years.
  • Christian was born and raised in Germany and studied in the USA and France. He holds an MBA degree from INSEAD business school. His undergraduate degree is math/economics from Brown University

Ellen Moore – Director (New York)


  • Ellen has over 15 years of pharmaceutical industry and consulting experience.
  • Since joining the Datamonitor Healthcare Consulting, Ellen has focused on clients’ needs in the areas of opportunity assessment and portfolio prioritization. This work has covered projects in the areas of infectious disease, inflammation and immunology.
  • Ellen’s career began at Elan Pharmaceuticals where she had roles in sales, market research, strategic resource allocation, brand management, global launch planning and strategic marketing. Her last role at Elan entailed leading the Branding and Professional Marketing efforts for the global launch of TYSABRI in Crohn’s disease and serving as the Commercial representative on the pre-IND core team for ELND001, an oral alpha-4 inhibitor for the treatment of auto-immune diseases. Following Elan, Ellen worked at Verus Pharmaceuticals, handling the strategic marketing and new product planning of a novel drug/device combination being developed for Asthma and COPD.
  • Upon leaving the industry, Ellen spent 4 years focused on primary market research, data analysis and corporate development consulting for small and specialty pharmaceutical companies. Her work as an independent consultant supported the Series A capital raises of three start-up companies totaling $93M.
  • Ellen holds a bachelors degree in Mathematical Sciences (Chestnut Hill College) and an MBA (UCLA Anderson School of Management)

Susan Danheiser – Director (New York)


  • Susan has over 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical field, focusing on business intelligence, market analysis, strategic planning and analytics.
  • As head of Citeline’s custom analytics service for the last several years, and more recently with the wider Informa pharma consulting group, she has provided pharma companies (including most of the top 10) and industry providers with creative and effective solutions for their strategic business questions.
  • Project examples include competitive development landscapes and approval pathways, patient enrollment/site planning, in-licensing/internal opportunity assessments and clinical trial design and outcome analyses.
  • While Susan works across all therapeutic areas, she brings to the table extensive experience and knowledge in the field of Oncology, having led the clinical trials intelligence group in this area at Citeline for many years.
  • Prior to joining Citeline/Informa, Susan spent over 5 years with the Corporate Strategic Market Analytics team at Ipsen Pharmaceuticals, where she developed market analyses and detailed sales forecasts in support of their drug in-licensing and launch efforts.
  • Earlier, Susan owned her own business, providing client-driven market and competitive analyses, as well as published reports and articles for various clientele including Fuld & Co., Decision Resources and Genetic Engineering News. She began her career with a boutique consulting firm, performing due diligence for venture capital investors.
  • Susan holds an MS degree in Genetic Toxicology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and studied marketing and finance at the Northeastern University Graduate School of Business Administration.

Tim Pang – Director (London)


  • Timothy joined the Datamonitor Healthcare Consulting team in London in 2012, and has over ten years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Prior to joining Datamonitor, Timothy worked in a managerial role for a Japanese pharmaceutical company based in Tokyo, where he helped plan and lead the development of product candidates in therapy areas including cancer supportive care, migraine, and pain. Timothy led product positioning and market analysis for the product portfolio, while also collaborating on partnership and licensing activities for the US and other markets.
  • Earlier in his career, Timothy worked as a Senior Analyst within Datamonitor’s London based analysis team, focussing on immune and inflammatory disorders, including diseases in the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and dermatology therapy areas. Timothy transferred to Datamonitor’s Tokyo office in 2005, where he established that office’s first consulting/analysis presence.
  • Prior to Datamonitor, Timothy began his career at the World Markets Research Centre (now part of Global Insight, a division of IHS), where he authored analysis on the Asian pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, focussing on Greater China and Japan.
  • Timothy holds an MSc (Public Health) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (University of London), and an MA (Sinology) from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London).
  • Timothy is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Japanese
